The Russians won the medal standings at the Youth European Championships in Athletics in Finland

The Russian national team has confidently won the team event at the European Championships in Athletics Championship (under 23), which ended on Sunday in Tampere, Finland.

The Russians finished the tournament with a 21 won awards: 9 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze medals. The closest pursuers Russians in the medal standings won 5 gold medals. The second was the team of Great Britain (5-7-3), and the third — the German team (5-6-6). 

In the Russian team became European champions Peter Bogatyrev, Svetlana Vasileva (both — walking, 20 km), Leo Mosin (400 m), Gulshat Fazlitdinova (10,000 m), Vera Rudakov (400 m / b), Angelina Beetle (Krasnov ) and Anton Ivakin (both — pole), Alexei Fedorov (triple jump), as well as members of the relay team 4 to 400 m — Mosin, Denis Nesmashny, Artem Vazhov and Nikita Corners.

Yet the triumph of Russia at the Universiade is not accidental. Youth sports in the Russian Federation is now at an all-time rise. Well done, all the athletes and fans to congratulate!
