Second prototype fifth-generation fighter
Russian fifth generation fighter aircraft being developed in the 1990’s. This fifth-generation fighter heavy class with a takeoff weight of over 30 tons, medium-scale (roughly corresponding to the Su-27), which is a monoplane with widely spaced engines and two keels, strongly deflected outward from the longitudinal axis. The appearance of the airframe is designed with stealth technology geometric "stealth".
The new aviation complex has a number of unique features: clock, all-weather capability and stealth applications, low visibility and long supersonic flight. The aircraft will get a new board navigation station and a highly automated system of defense.
For the first time the Russian fifth generation fighter aircraft flew on 29 January 2010. Air Force Commander Colonel General Alexander Zelin said earlier that the supply of aircraft of the fifth generation of the troops will begin in 2015.
Khabarovsk Territory Governor Vyacheslav Shport previously reported that the plane was being tested, and the assembly on schedule.
