Throughput of the CPC in the port of Ust-Luga in the I quarter of 2013 increased by

6%

In January-March 2013 "Universal Handling Complex" ("CPC") in the port of Ust-Luga, Leningrad region handled 742 thousand tons of cargo, which is 6% more than in the same period of 2012.
As the press service of the company, the positive dynamics of the turnover is due to the increase in the I quarter of this year, the volume of transshipment of thermal coal — the main cargo "CPC" — by 21%, to 634 thousand tons (compared with I quarter 2012).
Due to the growth of coal processing iron in three months fell by 42% to 101 thousand tons.
Also this year, the terminal handled 7 million tons of manganese ore. In the I quarter of 2012, transshipment of cargo is not carried out.
In January-March 2013 in the "CPC" processed 735 thousand tons of export cargo (+5% for Q1 2012) and 7 tons of imports (in Q1 2012 were not processed).
