"Transmashholding" in January-June 2013 increased the sales of products and services as compared to the same period in 2012 by 35 percent to more than 70 billion rubles, the company said.
The growth of sales was primarily due to an increase in the basic segments: mainline freight locomotives — by 28 percent / 249 sections were sold against 195 in January-June 2012 / passenger electric locomotives — by 24 percent / 57 pc to 41 pc in the previous year and / shunting locomotives, of which 102 units were sold compared to 51 units a year earlier.
In addition, a 65 percent increased realization of freight locomotives — from 68 to 112 sections and 71 percent of subway cars — from 137 to 234 units.
