Transneft began filling the ESPO-2

"Transneft" launched the second stage of filling oil pipeline "Eastern Siberia — Pacific Ocean" (ESPO-2), the press service of the company.

Commissioning of the second stage of ESPO is scheduled for late 2012. The cost of the expansion of ESPO-1 and ESPO-2 total is 110-115 billion rubles.

ESPO-2 began January 14, 2010, two weeks after the commissioning of the ESPO-1 when the port "Koz’mino" the first tanker was loaded with Russian oil. Power ESPO-2 will reach 30 million tons per year, increasing to 50 million tons of oil a year.

"Oil entered into the linear part of the pipeline on the camera start cleaning agents and diagnostics NPS-21, located near the town of Skovorodino, Amur region" — said in a statement.

According to company estimates, during the period up to July 7 will be filled with oil 197 km oil pipeline, which had been pre-made hydraulic testing and internal diagnostics. After a technological break filling the pipeline will continue.

 The project is the construction of the pipeline system "Eastern Siberia — Pacific Ocean" is implemented to transport Russian oil to the market of the Asia-Pacific region as well as to ensure its supply to the domestic market of the country. The track ESPO-2 will be built from Skovorodino in the Amur region to Spetsmornefteport "Koz’mino" in Primorsky Krai. ESPO-2 is part of the whole system ESPO and technologically connected to the ESPO-1. Construction of the second phase of the pipeline system "Eastern Siberia — Pacific Ocean" extending 2,046 thousand kilometers through the territory of the Amur region, the Jewish Autonomous Region, Khabarovsk and Primorye territories.
