JSC "Transneft" has finished laying back three-kilometer section of the pipeline of "Eastern Siberia — Pacific Ocean" (ESPO) pipeline under the river Angara, said the LLC "MCC ESPO" (customer-builder facilities ESPO).
On Tuesday, at 16.30 Irkutsk time (11.30 MSK) has been laid culvert (pipe) in an underwater trench across the river Angara. Construction of the project started in June 2011. The transition is located in the Irkutsk region to 288 km of the TC "ESPO". The width of the Angara River at the intersection of the main pipeline is 2,940 meters depth from the water surface to the bottom — from 3.4 to 10.6 meters. The depth of the underwater trench up to 14.3 meters. Length of pull through underwater pipeline section — 3090 meters. Bottom pipe welded pipes with a diameter of 268 millimeters in 1067 with a wall thickness of 25 millimeters and a class strength of steel K-60.
In the period from 14 February to 13 March 2012 the clock were working on pulling through the 19-year-lashes from the right to the left bank of the Angara River, zahlestnyh welding joints, non-destructive testing of welded joints, insulation, lining a wooden rack to protect the integrity of the insulating coating and ballasting pipeline. The work performed by pulling through the forces of a general contractor JSC "Revival", involving 146 experts and 104 pieces of equipment. After monitoring the laid pipeline is planned to carry out hydraulic tests of strength and leak testing, together with the coastal areas. Reserve line being built across the river Angara will ensure safe operation, trouble-free pumping of oil through the pipeline system "Eastern Siberia — Pacific Ocean".
In January 2010, LLC "MCC ESPO" embarked on a project "Expansion TS" ESPO "up to 50 million tons of oil. As part of expanding the existing facility provides for the construction of five pumping stations (NPS), hits (redundant threads MN) via the river Angara, Lena, Aldan, and Ust-Ilim reservoir creation of the energy complex and retrofitting of communication facilities.
