Experts complex strength TSAGI completed testing of IL-96 on the residual strength.

The experiments were carried out on the structure of the IL-96-300 with regard to the need of increased mining resource characteristics of the modification of the aircraft — IL-96-400T. In the first phase of research scientists residual strength prochnisty experienced wing aircraft. On the strength of the wing elements were deposited regulated damage critical dimensions, and then attach the limit (operational) load. The second step was the testing germofyuzelyazha aircraft. Boarding germofyuzelyazha was cut longitudinally between the three adjacent frames. At the same time was cut middle frame. Germofyuzelyazh then inflated with air pressure up to 0.72 atm, which is 15 percent higher than the possible value in use. Both steps are successful, the damaged structure withstood all the applied loads.
