Ukraine for 11 months increased coal production by 9.6%

The coal mining enterprises in January-November 2011 increased coal output by 9.6% compared to the same period in 2010 — up to 75.72 million tons, reported the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

At the same time production of coking coal for 11 months increased by 3.8% — to 22,773 million tons of energy — by 12.4%, to 52.299 million tons.

The coal mining enterprises under the Ministry, in January-November increased coal production by 0.9% — up to 35.202 million tons. Coking coal production increased by 1.4% — to 6,919 million tons of energy — by 0.8% to 28.283 million tonnes.

Coal mining companies have exceeded the planned target for the extraction of coal by 22.6%, in particular, businesses Minenergouglya — by 7.3%.

In 2010, the coal-mining enterprises of Ukraine increased coal production by 4% compared to 2009 — up to 75.166 million tons.
