Volvo allocated to the new plant in Kaluga $ 119 million

Volvo Group announced its decision to invest 783 million Swedish kronor (3 billion 750 million rubles) In the construction of a new plant for the production of cabs for trucks under the brand names Volvo and Renault in Kaluga. It will be located next door to the factory Volvo Group for the production of commercial vehicles. The new facility capacity of 15 000 units per year will begin its work in 2014.

Recall that the Volvo Group plant for the production of commercial vehicles was opened in Kaluga in January 2009, and currently produces heavy-duty trucks under the Volvo and Renault brands for the markets of Russia and some CIS countries.

"We are confident in the Russian market and we believe that it has significant potential for further growth in the coming years", — said the head of the Volvo Group Olof Persson.
