Three buses route number 400K, which runs from the 14 district of the city of Zelenograd to the metro station "Mitino" in Moscow, were installed access points to wireless internet. This was reported on the website of the Department of Transport and the development of road transport infrastructure in the capital.
Prior to July 22, 2011 access points Wi-Fi will be equipped with an additional 12 buses. Five of them will run on the same route 400k, and seven — route 400 from the stop "Northern" (Zelenograd) to the metro station "River Station" in the capital. Access to Internet through Wi-Fi technology will be provided free of charge, said RIA Novosti.
Experiment to introduce access to wireless internet in public transport will last six months. Each month cellular operators providing service, will report on the number of people who have benefited from access to the Internet on the bus. If the service is popular, then the points will be Wi-Fi equipped and other urban public transport routes.
Since July 2011 experiment hardware installation Wi-Fi in public transport began in Chelyabinsk. The access points have been installed in two trams on the longest routes of the city. Also, a complimentary wireless internet is available in public transport Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa and Murmansk.
