The company "Kuznetsk Ferroalloys" launched the first phase of yurginskogo Ferroalloy Plant.
Five years ago, in July 2006, Jurg was put into operation the first ferroalloy furnace, which initiated the development of a new steel plant. The second furnace was built, despite the global economic crisis, in January 2010.
Today formally commissioned introduced two new furnaces, which symbolized the start of the first stage yurginskogo Ferroalloy Plant (Separate structural unit of JSC "Kuznetsk Ferroalloys") with all necessary infrastructure (electricity, gas treatment facilities, plus all the necessary social facilities — health center, dining room, home building).
On the whole, taking into account all four furnaces "Kuznetsk Ferroalloys" will produce more than 60% of ferrosilicon in Russia. The press service of the administration of Kuzbass also reported that the new furnaces are more efficient in energy consumption, as well as eco-friendly (for example, a gas cleaning system provides almost one hundred percent carbon capture and purification of flue gases, which eliminates their emissions and industrial premises).
Besides furnace units built as the packing of finished products with the automated assembly of crushing, packing and shipping of ferrosilicon directly into shipping containers (almost all of the plant’s products are exported to Japan). Created as a set of induction furnaces to recycle waste crushing ferrosilicon (trivia, which is produced by crushing ingots) capacity of about 700 tons per month (as a result of which the plant will be getting a new kind of ferrosilicon is widely sought after for the production of special steel grades as an additive) and the site for the production of refractory silica fume (capacity of about 2 tons per month), which will be produced by refining emissions ferroalloy furnaces. Silica fume is a valuable material for the production of high quality concrete.
At the same time investors are reconstructed substation "abrasive", which made it possible to triple the power consumption of up to 131 MW. Now the plant is fully sufficient in electricity. In general, the organization of ferroalloy production in Jurga from 2004 to 2011 "Kuznetsk Ferroalloys" invested about 3 billion rubles. In the administration of Kuzbass excited: the first three years after the commissioning of furnaces tax payments to the regional budget will increase by 86 million.
According to Aman Tuleeva for the construction of the second phase of yurginskogo ferroalloy plant, that is another ferroalloy plant with five furnaces and the necessary infrastructure, additional generation capacity. To do this in the next two years to build a 110 kV transmission line from the substation "Jurga" to Substation "abrasive" to 17 km. Also during 2012 to increase the capacity of Antonovskoe mine for the extraction of quartz — raw material for the production of ferrosilicon. For this will be reconstructed crushing plant mine and quarry equipment upgraded park.
