A few years ago, a team of researchers from the Hematology Research Center, Center for Theoretical Problems of Pharmacology Sciences and the Physics Department of Moscow State University under the direction of Fazli Ataullahanova found that the results of basic research of mechanisms of regulation of blood coagulation may be of direct practical value. At that time, the team studied the spatial dynamics of blood coagulation with a specially crafted homemade setup. Further development has been brought to such a state that the project for implementation of the method was supported by the corporation "RUSNANO", which resulted in a company "Gemakor" ("Hematologic Corporation"). At the moment it develops diagnostic method, called "trombodinamika": developed designs of devices, manufactured supplies are tested.

Now the situation with the diagnosis of blood coagulation disorders in the world is in a catastrophic state. Doctors have a high level of trying to make diagnoses by circumstantial evidence in the patient's condition, and experts in laboratory diagnosis are trying to create an alternative to traditional methods of diagnosis. For reliable diagnosis must learn to directly see that the plasma of human blood has an increased or a decreased tendency to curl. The current clinical tests (APTT, thrombin time, prothrombin index Onge INR) created from 50 to 70 years ago. At the time, there was almost no idea about the structure of blood coagulation, and the tests were done in the simplest way: the patient's blood is drawn, it is separated from the plasma, and it adds a great amount of an activator of coagulation, and after a while the plasma collapses. Fast, cheap and cheerful.

For its time, the emergence of such tests, it was a huge achievement, and they are very helpful and the doctors and biochemists. But, as has become clear that the conditions in the body are very different from those in clinical tests. Even the most general considerations it is clear that in such a test does not see any any subtle things. In the best case it will be noticeable tendency to bleeding.

As a result, the patient can now give blood, get the normal analysis, to feel nothing, and the next day — a heart attack.

Now the world is there an alternative to the classical tests. The reaction scheme of coagulation (see figure) is completely known, and all the weakness of the old methods become undeniable. None of the methods of the new generation has not been able to prove the effectiveness of its universal, but some — a test of thrombin generation, thromboelastography — do not look so bad against the background of what has been. They are better than the classic, if only because they use low-level activation. This already makes them more sensitive. Unfortunately, the level of their implementation in Russia is low, and in the world as long as there is no clarity to their standardization and reproducibility.

In "Gemakore" went the other way. Basic research began with the idea of the spatial heterogeneity of coagulation. The method used is essentially characterized in that coagulation is activated by locally nanocoating physiological activator of coagulation, tissue factor, and the propagation to be observed in the coagulation space. This is the main novelty.

Currently, an experimental setup based on the localized activation of coagulation, turned into a diagnostic tool. The sale of the equipment is not opened: To be the official clinical tests that will be carried out by independent clinics. For this stage, and the device itself, and supplies, and the documentation must be communicated until it is perfect.
