In Wales, the decision to initiate women to the episcopate

The Church of England decided through a vote on the ordination of women to the episcopate.

The decision was taken in view of the fact that to his advantage to get two-thirds majority in each governing body — the House of Clergy, the House of Bishops and the House of Laity.

This is not the first attempt to legitimize women's bishop. In the Church of Wales was carried out the same procedure in 2008, but the majority have been received: the supporters of the changes gleaning only three votes.

The Episcopal Church of Scotland in 2003 allowed women to devote. And in Northern Ireland, too, do not see a problem with that. Now only the English clergy can not be solved by such a move. In the world of the 38 Anglican Church of Wales was already the 18th, to accept this ordination.
