Boguchan GES (BoHPP) completed the construction of the ninth section of the concrete of the dam, according to "RusHydro", on a par with OK "Rusal" leading completion of the station.
"The construction of a concrete dam BoHPP continued throughout the winter period 2010-2011, despite the steady construction area low temperatures (minus 32-40 degrees)," — said in a statement.
This is the fifth section of the station, built up to the top of a hydraulic structure (214 meters). The first was the 23rd section (completed in March 2010), followed by the twelfth (in July), on the eleventh (in September) and thirteenth (in October).
As noted in the "RusHydro", the order of the completion of the sections depends on their purpose. Completion of construction of the ninth session "has a special meaning … as will be mounted inside the elevator to the station staff."
A phased launch of nine hydroelectric power plant with output Boguchan station at full capacity in 2013 is the basis of the state of the investment project "Integrated Development of the Lower Angara region." The first three units BoHPP planned to start in April 2012.
Boguchan GES (BoHPP) — the first in the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station on the edge of the Angara. Construction Boguchan plant began in 1980. Boguchanskaya plant resumed in 2006 after the companies "RusHydro" and OK "Rusal" announcement of a joint project to create Boguchansky Energy and Metals Association (BEMA) in the Boguchan HPP with a capacity of 3,000 MW and an aluminum plant with the capacity of 600 thousand tons metal annually.
