Construction of the substation on the Baltic NPP entering the home stretch

On the Baltic nuclear power plant completed the construction of 110/10 kV "Malomozhayskaya." On the territory of the complex is 0.58 hectares mounted outdoor switchgear 110 kV, as well as block-modular building indoor switchgear 10 kV.

The substation has two transformers TDN 110/10 capacity of 16MVA each.

Now experts contractor JSC "Energostroy" take measures for the installation of control equipment, networking communications and remote control for pre-production start-up and adjustment works.

110/10 kV "Malomozhayskaya" will be powered from the substation 330/110 "Soviet" double-circuit 110 kV overhead line, a length of about 25 km.
 
Currently, work is underway on the installation of poles, wires and mounting stretch to support earth. In the process of resettlement Air Line employs more than 70 workers, and 21 units of special equipment to perform steeplejack work and work in a wetland.

According to the deputy director for capital construction branch of "Rosenergoatom" "Directorate for Construction of Baltic NPP" Alexander Gulyaev, 110/10 kV "Malomozhayskaya" is equipped with modern high-performance hardware with the standards of industrial safety. Its launch will provide electricity to all stages of the construction of two units of the Baltic NPP.

All construction work is expected to finish in the II quarter of 2013 then start commissioning, which will begin at the end of the procedure for delivery of the substation and checking the representatives of JSC "FGC UES" and the officials of the federal executive bodies authorized to carry out technical inspection and supervision electric power industry. Starting the substation is scheduled for spring 2014.
