American physicists at the end of 2012 recognized that one of their most ambitious projects, implemented since 1997, has brought negative results. Scientists failed to start a fusion reaction using heavy-duty lasers.

The news that the National Ignition Facility project does not justify the investment in his capabilities, especially unpleasant due to the fact that this project has been previously required additional investments.
