MPB-14 (Multi Purpose Boat) — a modern, powerful, cost-effective, high-speed and highly maneuverable boat, which is a fusion of contemporary design and design solutions and innovative construction techniques. Fulfilling the mandate of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (JSC "United Shipbuilding Corporation") for the development of production katernogo, Moscow Shipyard in October 2011 started the construction of a series of 6 multi-purpose craft project MPB-14 on request Rosmorporta.

With the propulsion system Volvo Penta IPS, boat control system for maneuvering and a special joystick system power reduction is achieved by a more secure management of the boat at the approaches and waste from ships and moorings.

With the help of dynamic positioning systems can save the preset position boats for rescue operations in adverse weather conditions (wind, waves, currents). Compared to peers in class, running the IPS system with its unique, forward-facing propellers coaxial adds 20% to the maximum speed, 15% faster acceleration and thus can save up to 30% fuel. A similar project is being implemented in Russia for the first time.
