The Russian team took second place in the medal standings unofficial World Championship in Athletics, held in Moscow. On August 16 reported the official website of the championship. Just a football team 5 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals.

Russian Tatyana Lysenko won the world championship in Moscow in the hammer throw. She won the gold medal with a score of 78.8 meters, which was a new record of the world championships and her personal best. Second place went to the Polish athlete Anita Wlodarczyk, received a bronze medal Chinese Zhang Wenxiu.

Victory on August 16, also won the Russian athlete Alexander Men'kov. He was the best in the long jump with a score of 8.56 meters.
