Russian developer of IT-solutions for the transport industry — a group of companies "Transas" — presented the market with a range of on-board equipment, providing a high level of safety of navigation on inland waterways (GDP).
The first unit began making certified summer-fall 2011 Russian River Register electronic chart system (ECS) Class "A" and "B": EX series "Navy Trax" and EX "thalweg". Also in the package is Transas Multifunctional System — Inland / ECDIS.
Taken into account when designing the details of the courts and features of navigation at sea and rivers, which is especially important for ships with "river-sea".
The objectives of the new river for industry solutions include Electronic Chart Display and Information, planning and route monitoring, tracking of objects surrounding the vessel, security, integration of navigational equipment installed on board, backup and restore records of navigational information, which is essential for the analysis of emergency situations .
Also in the complex modern solutions that are created today to improve the safety of navigation on the GDP, is a joint development of radar "Transas" — "Micran" (Tomsk). This is a new generation of solid-state radar technology with continuous wave frequency modulation. The solution is designed for navigation in narrow waters, for use in search and rescue operations, vessel traffic management systems, as well as for monitoring of offshore platforms. The distinctive features of the new radar is a high-range resolution that allows detection of small objects.
Low power consumption, short time ready to use and ease of installation make the solution very attractive for the market. These features are relevant not only for small vessels, but also for commercial vessels operating on inland waterways.
The joint product is in the final stages of development. The most likely future solution might be to integrate c electronic chart system.
