Ukrainian carrier rocket to orbit a communications satellite

June 1, 2012, at 8:30 am Moscow time from the Odyssey floating platform in the Pacific Ocean as part of the project "Sea Launch" was successfully launched rocket Zenit-3SL. She led the U.S. into a geostationary orbit spacecraft Intelsat 19 weighing 5536 kg, the press service of the State Space Agency of Ukraine.

Zenit carrier rocket developed by the State Enterprise Design Bureau of South and made public enterprise Production Association Yuzhny Machine-Building Plant in cooperation with Russian and Ukrainian enterprises.

Satellite Intelsat-19 was created by U.S. company Space Systems Loral commissioned by global satellite operator Intelsat. The spacecraft is designed to provide high-quality broadcasting in Australia, as well as international distribution of video across Asia and the Pacific in the western United States.

Said became the thirty-second start-up launch of a space rocket Zenit-3SL in the framework of the "Sea Launch".
