Global Economic Forum in collaboration with the Harvard Institute and Institute of California at Berkeley published global index of gender inequality in 2008.
In keeping undertook four areas of inequality between the men and the ladies:
— ability of economic activity;
— abilities in the field of education;
— role in politics;
— health and longevity.
Most equality in the world recorded in the Scandinavian countries — Norway, Finland, Sweden and Iceland. They remain in the first couple of years already chatsvertsy. Of post-Soviet states are above Latvia (10) Moldova (20) and Lithuania (23). Belarus this year — the 33rd, which means perceptible loss in comparison with the index in 2007 (23rd place). Other neighbors of Belarus: Our homeland on the 42nd place, Poland — On the 49th, Ukraine — 62 m.
