Gestalt therapy

Gestalt is formed when a person has a need that is currently the strongest demands satisfaction, and there is a contact in the outside world.

In gestalt is the beginning and the end: it arises against our will in time of need or desire, and ends with the satisfaction. Alas, the needs are unlimited and resources are limited and not all desires are fulfilled.

Ideally, the gestalt cycle looks like this:

  1. The emergence of needs (thirsty).
  2. Search for opportunities to meet it, evaluate the feasibility of this option (look for water).
  3. Satisfaction (drink).
  4. The output of the contact (thirst is quenched — we put the empty glass on the table.)

As a result of such a cycle is completed gestalt (destroyed). The origins and the completion of a gestalt can take seconds, minutes, hours, years or a lifetime.
