The steady growth of electricity consumption in the UES of Russia

 

Electricity consumption in the UES of Russia in the first quarter of 2012 increased by 2.7% compared to the same period in 2011

According to the operative data of JSC "SO UES", the power consumption in the Unified Energy System of Russia in January-March 2012 amounted to 286.4 billion kW • h, which is 2.7% higher than the consumption in the I quarter of 2011. Electricity consumption for January — March 2012 in the whole of Russia reached 292.7 billion kW • h, which is 2.7% more than in the first three months of 2011.

The total volume of consumption and electricity production in Russia in general consist of the performance of power consumption and production facilities located in the United Energy System of Russia, and facilities operating in isolated power (Taimyr, Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Magadan, Chukotka, and the energy of the central and northern Yakutia ). The actual performance of the power system of isolated areas are the subjects of the supervisory control of these energy systems.

Electricity production in the EEC Russia three months of 2012 amounted to 291.9 billion kW • h of electricity, which is also a 2.6% increase on the same period last year. Since the beginning of 2012 electricity generation in Russia as a whole amounted to 298.2 billion kW • h, which is 2.9% more than in January — March 2011.

The main burden of providing electricity demand in the EEC Russia for three months in 2012 carried the TPP, the development of which amounted to 194.6 billion kW • h, which is 3.8% more than in January — March 2011. The development of hydropower in the same period amounted to 34.4 billion kW • h (by 5.3% less than three months in 2011), the development of nuclear power plants — 48.9 billion kW • h (a 7.3% increase than in the same period of 2011), the development of power plants — 14 billion kW • h (2.3% less than in January — March 2011).

And this with the fact that in Siberia, for example, last winter was not an example warmer than the winter of 2010-2011. And there is a growing energy consumption by 2%. That is, adjusted for ambient temperature, the actual growth of electricity consumption in Siberia even higher than 2%.

And of course, the growth of electricity consumption — a sure sign of the growth of the economy in general and the industrial production in particular.
