CMP has created and delivered a new class of steel holding company Helicopters of Russia

Commenting on the performance of the order, the chief technical management of CMP Dmitry Shaburov said: "In July 2012 our factory passed the order for production of metal for the helicopter industry. CMP for this order means the release of a new class of steel. He carried out in cooperation with JSC "Ural Forge." Stainless steel was received in November 2012. Products perfectly withstood the preliminary process testing and is now transferred to industrial production. This steel is needed for the production of particularly critical nodes in a modern helicopter.

High-strength stainless steel Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant will be used in the production of individual components of the Ka-226 (T). Light multi-purpose helicopter Ka-226 (T) is intended for corporate and private transportation, and perform a variety of special operations and rescue missions.

Modern light helicopter Ka-226T, according to experts, is one of the most environmentally friendly and safest in its class, so to have imposed the most stringent requirements. Light helicopter with engines that provide high load capacity and flight altitude (up to 7.5 thousand meters) and coaxial (twin-screw) of the carrier system.

High-strength steel CMP will be used in the production of intelligence and attack helicopter Ka-52 "Alligator", which is undoubtedly one of the most sophisticated combat aircraft in its class. Traditional virtues of Russian helicopters are combined in him with the most modern developments in avionics, weapons, aviation safety and in the use of composite materials. To date, the helicopter has passed all required state tests, mass-produced and is in service with the Russian Air Force.

The plans of the holding company "Helicopters of Russia" in the future to use the new class are not only in the production of critical components of Ka-52 and Ka-226 (T), but also for the helicopter "Mi" brand.
