Sometime in July, Panasonic announced the arrival of the LUMIX DMC-FZ70, which boasts of 60X optical zoom, the largest zoom lens available in a compact camera.
Since the device features a 20-1200mm lens, this automatically makes it the widest lens available on a compact camera.
It also has a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor with full HD video. One of the unique features of the camera is its stereo microphone which has been designed to improve sound quality, particularly on noisy, windy days. Also, the microphone has the ability to zoom along with the lens, which is extremely helpful for video. Other features of the camera include RAW and HD video shooting capabilities. Since it costs USD 399 in the US, it is comparatively cheaper than its competitors.
