YES, IT’S TIME YOU UPGRADE YOUR LIVING SPACE. TO MAKE HOME IMPROVEMENT A BREEZE, HERE ARE SOME TIPS.
Keep It Airy
Big and wide windows encourage you to use natural light more often. They also give you a wider view of the outdoors.
Use Neutral Colors
A natural color palette, especially for your furniture, leaves room for more eye-popping adornments.
When choosing fabrics, remember that a variety of textures add visual appeal. From woven, canvass and cheesecloth fabrics to plaid, batik and gingham patterns—create beauty within your home.
Opt For Round
To further highlight the easy, comfortable approach in your new home, a round table in brown and beige is a perfect option.
GET RID OF CLUTTER. The massive, open shelving unit is still in place, although you wouldn’t recognize it at all, now that it has been rid of all clutter. Because the shelves are still in good condition, Kristine just had the entire thing painted white and fitted with doors. Now it houses only the essentials such as books.
MIND THE DIY DETAILS. Kristine made use of the leftover abaca ropes from her office in crafting nifty, unique handles for the cabinets in the living room. To be consistent, abaca rope is also used as a railing in the attic room. The designer also dressed up the ottoman stools. The square pair was lovely as is, but the dark color didn’t quite match the nautical theme. She had slipcovers made using a white linen fabric she got from the same store.
