Moscow refinery gasoline production moved to euro 5

At the Moscow Oil Refinery «Gazprom oil» put into operation an FCC gasoline hydrotreating and isomerization of light naphtha. This allowed the plant in 2013 to switch completely to production of gasoline 5 emission class technical regulations of the Russian Federation on the quality of motor fuels.

  • Light naphtha isomerization unit

Installation of light naphtha isomerization capacity of 650 thousand tons per year allows to produce high-octane gasoline components with zero sulfur, aromatic and unsaturated hydrocarbons. Mixing with the other components of the isomerate gasoline reduces the content of aromatics, benzene, olefins, increases their octane characteristics and reduces the impact on the environment. Through the introduction of an isomerization of light naphtha in the flow chart of the refinery will increase its output of gasoline A-95 5 emission class. Investment in the construction of the facility were 10.9 billion rubles.

  • The hydrotreater catalytic cracking gasoline

Power hydrotreating catalytic cracking gasoline, intended for the production of gasolines with ultra low sulfur is 1.2 million tons per year. Installing the fuel produced meets Euro-5, the sulfur content in it is reduced by 15 times compared to gasoline environmental class 3, allowed to date for circulation in Russia. Investment in the construction of the facility was 5.7 billion rubles.

Commissioning hydrotreating catalytic cracking gasoline and light naphtha isomerization unit was the final step in the implementation of the first phase of modernization of the Moscow Oil Refinery «Gazprom oil», aimed at improving the quality of products. At the next stage of large-scale projects are planned to increase the depth of oil refining, gas processing and oil production of light petroleum products.

Chairman of the Board of «Gazprom oil» Dyukov said: «The completion of the first phase of the modernization of the Moscow Oil Refinery is a landmark event for the» Gazprom oil «. From that point on, all refining assets of the company, for 2.5 years ahead of the requirements of technical regulations, switched to fuels of Euro-5. Improving the quality of gasoline and diesel fuel produced by the Moscow refinery will provide the residents of Moscow and the central region of Russia fuel corresponding to European standards, reduce harmful emissions and significantly improve the environmental situation. The implementation of the next phase of the modernization of the refinery, aimed at increasing the volume of oil refining, will enhance the supply of high quality fuel to the Moscow market. «
